South American electrification specialist Rurelec has commissioned its latest power plant in Bolivia.
Headed by seasoned maverick financier Peter Earl, the AIM-quoted company says its Bolivian subsidiary, Empresa Guaracachi, has commissioned the 6 megawatt Jenbacher II plant in Sucre, Bolivia’s constitutional capital. The plant, which complements Sucre’s 8 megawatt Jenbacher I plant installed two years ago, has now had its units officially accepted onto the Bolivian national grid.
Floated four years ago at 40p, London-based Rurelec’s shares now trade at 57p, up 1.5p this morning. This values the company at £49 million.
