Gulf starts at Sheikh Adi-2 25/05/2012
Iraq-focused oil explorer Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) has begun drilling at the Sheikh Adi-2 well in the Sheikh Adi block.
Tajikistan-focused Kryso Resources says independent consultants confirm a one million-plus gold resource at its Pakrut project.
According to Kryso, GeoLogix Mineral Resource Consultants has completed a statement of measured, indicated and inferred resources of one million oz of gold at a comparatively low grade of 2.18 grammes of gold per tonne of ore at a cut-off of 0.5 grammes a tonne. This represents a 77 per cent increase on previous estimates.
The estimated measured, indicated and inferred gold resource at a three-gramme per tonne cut-off is 441,000 oz. The firmer measured resource is 749,669 oz at a 0.5 cut-off and 371,307 oz at a three-gramme cut-off.
Recommended by Growth Company Investor at 8.75p a year ago, Kryso shares, which had fallen from 17.25p three years ago to 7.75p in 2006, have rebounded to 14.75p, up 0.75p today, valuing the company at £12.1 million.
They could have further to go.
