Turnaround at TEG 17/03/2010
Organic composting specialist TEG Group is pursuing long-term contracts after turning £1.6 million annual losses into £155,000 pre-tax profits.
Entrepreneur Dr Johnny Hon has left two of his PLUS floats, but remains chairman of Chinese lottery operator Betex.
Hong Kong barrister Hon, who is vice-chairman of Cambridge United Football Club, brought credit card specialist Oriental City and e-marketing hopeful Silverback Media to PLUS, but has since left the boards of both to focus on other tasks. He still chairs two other PLUS ventures, Global Education and Global Entertainment, as well as AIM-quoted Betex.
Floated last year at 34p, Betex shares quickly surged to 80p. They have since fallen back to 32.5p following accusations of ‘illegal gambling’ made by the Chinese authorities against key local staff.
