Gulf starts at Sheikh Adi-2 25/05/2012
Iraq-focused oil explorer Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) has begun drilling at the Sheikh Adi-2 well in the Sheikh Adi block.
3D technology concern DDD Group (DDD) has licensed its TriDef software to computer manufacturer Lenovo for its 3D PCs.
The AIM-quoted concern noted that Lenovo used its TriDef technology last year with its Y560d notebook and has subsequently decided to use TriDef for its IdeaCentre PCs. DDD enthuse that its technology enables films, videos and photos to be converted into 3D with over 540 2D games also able to be played in 3D using its software.
TriDef's software will be supplied with 'lightweight glasses' and with the PC itself to make it what it says is a 'cost-effective and convenient' solution. DDD notes it is to receive quarterly royalties from Lenovo based on the number of 3D PCs shipped. Chief executive Chris Yewdall enthused that Lenovo's choice to use TriDef 'Reinforces DDD's position as a leader in the 3D market'.
Analysts at Edison are forecasting pre-tax profits of $300,000 on sales of $5.5 million for the year to December. In 2012 profits of $1.6 million on revenues of $8 million.
