Pharma minnow Sareum Holdings (SAR) is to make two presentations at a cancer conference in France.
The AIM-quoted concern says chief executive officer Tim Mitchell will be making two presentation at the European Cancer Cluster Partnering Meeting Conference in Toulouse. He will use the conference to 'illustrate the ability of Chk1 inhibitors (used to control the response of a cancer cell to DNA damage) to increase the potency of chemo and radiotherapy.'
Sareum notes it will use data from its recently announced development candidate (Sareum reported in August that it had made a selection in conjunction with Cancer Research UK's commercial arm Cancer Research Technology.) Mitchell enthuses target conference is a 'great opportunity' for Sareum to market its programmes to 'representatives from international pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.'
Shares in Sareum were last recommended by Growth Company Investor at 1.63p last month following the announcement of the collaboration with Cancer Research Technology. The shares have risen to 1.78p this morning amidst excitement over the conference. We see little reason to change our speculative buy rating for now.
