Iraq-focused oil explorer Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) has begun drilling at the Sheikh Adi-2 well in the Sheikh Adi block.
Video search engine blinkx (BLNX) has announced a deal with Future Publishing (FUTR) that will see its content available on blinkx's website.
Future Publishing, the company behind titles such as video games magazine Edge and specialist titles such as The Knitter, will now have its content available on blinkx's website, with blinkx placing appropriate advertising on the content using its technology and sharing the resulting revenue with the publishing group.
Blink's founder and Cambridge graduate Suranga Chandratillake enthuses that the company is delighted 'to be able to provide this calibre of fun and informative content to enthusiasts in our global audience'. Mark Woos, UK chief executive officer of Future , says that video content is a 'key strategic driver of our business moving forward.'
Analysts at Daniel Stewart are forecasting pre-tax profits of $24.4 million (EPS: 6 cents) on turnover of $117.4 million for the year to March 2012.
Growth Company Investor recommended shares in blinkx last May at 27p and they hit a peak of 148.75p earlier in the year as investor excitement regarding its technology mounted. They currently trade at 97.25p. At the current price we think the shares are fairly valued although the latest deal bolsters the company's future revenues. Hold.
