Gulf starts at Sheikh Adi-2 25/05/2012
Iraq-focused oil explorer Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) has begun drilling at the Sheikh Adi-2 well in the Sheikh Adi block.
Video communications concern SCOTTY Group has increased pre-tax profits nearly three-fold to £239,000 between first and second halves.
The AIM-quoted concern, which focuses on the government, defence and aviation markets, lifted turnover more modestly, by £120,000 to £2.8 million, over the same period to July. SCOTTY, chaired by former Tory junior defence minister Lord Trefgarne, has altered its year-end from June to December and is therefore not providing comparable figures from a year previously.
Since July, SCOTTY has won its first order for aero-certified systems in North America, from Stevens Aviation Inc. In September the company won a £700,000 order for video-conferencing equipment from the German Armed Forces and last month brought a £900,000 contract for key positioning and communication equipment for Eurocopter’s Personnel Location System for German Army helicopters.
At 45.75p, against a 12-month high of 70.5p and a low of 35p, SCOTTY’s shares value the company at £9.25 million.
