Namibia-focused Kalahari Minerals cites a uranium target of 126 to 198 million lbs of U308 at the Rossing South project.
The AIM-quoted company, which has a portfolio of copper and base metal projects in the south-west African country, holds 39.11 per cent of Rossing South, in the same area as Rio Tinto’s long-standing Rossing uranium mine. Kalahari’s partner, Australia- and Toronto-quoted Extract Energy, has announced the 126 to 198 million lb preliminary target following a series of encouraging drilling results.
Floated two years ago at 15p, Kalahari shares reached 46p last February before crumbling to 13.25p in June. They have now rallied to 30p, valuing the company at £49.97 million, and are speculative.
