Aussie copper play Discovery Metals says its Zeta prospect in Botswana is showing encouraging grades of up to 2.3 per cent.
Infill drilling at Zeta, part of the Maun copper project in north-west Botswana, confirms a major 2,000-metre extension of the high-grade copper zone at Zeta, according to the company, which joined AIM last year. Results from 15 holes include six metres at 2.3 per cent copper and 32 grammes of silver per tonne of ore and eight metres at 2.2 per cent copper and silver at 45 grammes a tonne.
Managing director Brad Sampson says these results suggest the copper and silver mineralisation at the centre of Zeta is ‘higher grade and thicker than previous drilling had indicated’. At 22.5p, up 0.5p this morning, the shares value Discovery at £29 million.
