Jubilee Platinum claims further encouraging nickel and copper mineralisation at Ambodilafa in Madagascar.
The AIM-quoted company says drilling at borehole ALF008 shows nickel and copper sulphide deposits at 101 metres, with higher-grade intersections assaying 0.45 per cent nickel and 0.16 per cent copper over a 13.9 metre width. Further intersections at 260.6 metres included 3.8 metres at 0.67 per cent nickel and 0.25 per cent copper.
Chief executive officer Colin Bird says Jubilee, which has obtained encouraging results recently from its Tjate platinum group metals project in South Africa’s Bushveld, plans to focus its 2008 drilling programme ‘aggressively’ on this area. Jubilee’s shares, at 73p against a 2005 low of 26.5p and last year’s 127.5p high, should win some renewed favour.
