Film and TV producer Global Entertainment hopes for new deals in China and India and is considering an AIM float.
Patrick Martin, the independent German producer who is chief executive officer of OFEX-traded Global, is shortly off to the Shanghai and Beijing film festivals to seek production agreements for the company, which is part of Hong Kong entrepreneur Johnny Hon's Global empire. With China's media market growing at 30 per cent a year and India's not far behind, Martin is also thinking of possible joint ventures with AIM candidate Eros International, which handles international distribution rights for Indian ‘Bollywood’ films.
Global, which last month signed a memorandum of understanding to co-produce TV drama and films with leading Chinese content provider Taihu Media, floated on OFEX last month and is now quoted at 9.5p, valuing the company at £9.3 million.
