Jubilee Platinum claims 'exceptional' results from drilling at its Tjate prospect in South Africa's Bushveld.
The AIM-quoted company says drilling results from borehole D79 have shown a combined grade of 10.98 grammes of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold per tonne of ore, with 0.23 per cent copper over 2.21 metres of thickness. Jubilee suggests these results 'extend significantly the area of mineralisation for resource estimation'.
Chief executive officer Colin Bird declares 'these are exceptional results, both in terms of grade and reef thickness'. He says the consistency, reliability and high grades discovered 'give us the confidence to embark on our bankable feasibility study' to enable the company to raise the finance to move into eventual production.
These findings at Tjate come soon after encouraging drilling results from Jubilee's Antsahabe nickel and copper project in Madagascar. Jubilee's shares, recommended by Growth Company Investor at 26.5p two years ago and again at 89.5p last February, hit 127.5p in June and are now 94.25p, up 4.75p this morning.
Partial profit taking might be prudent for early backers, though there should be more to go for.
