Followers of AIM-listed Cambrian Mining suggest its imminent quarterly earnings statement will be decidedly upbeat.
Headed by Australian entrepreneur John Byrne, Cambrian has key stakes in several ambitious mining companies, including Western Canadian Coal and Bangladesh coal hopeful Asia Energy. With shareholders including RAB Capital, Cambrian is also reviewing the possibilities of coal liquefaction and/or gasification.
At 135.5p, well down from former heights, the shares retain speculative possibilities.
