Colourful market player John Woolgar says he plans an AIM float for auction house Cooper Owen, which specialises in pop memorabilia.
Entrepreneurial Woolgar, who has featured in many recent AIM ploys with mining-focused Brian Moritz (of White Nile) and others, is chairman of Cooper Owen, which is next month staging an auction of items once belonging to John Lennon. These include the manuscript of 'All you need is love' and the bed featured in his Montreal 'sleep-in for peace' with Yoko Ono. The company says it expects the sale to raise about £1.1 million.
The present plan is to offer Cooper Owen to AIM later this year, probably in November.
