People: Dobbie looks for Indian love
Bill Dobbie, chief executive officer of internet dating group Cupid, the operator of both mainstream dating sites and a popular site for casual sexual encounters entitled BeNaughty.com, notes that the company is gaining increasing traction in India. ‘We recently acquired IndianDating.com - a website aimed at the Indian North American community.’ He observes that, having recently expanded its Cupid.com operation in India, ‘you are finding that in India the customers are increasingly dating in what you might call a “Western” style.’ He adds, ‘In five years time I could see the Indian dating market in India closely resemble that of the India-originating community in America.’
