People: Withers beefs up
Meat casing maker Devro has announced the appointment of Paul Withers as non-executive director.
Withers currently fills the same role at both electronic components manufacturer Premier Farnell and engineering consultancy Hyder Consulting. He had a 20-year career at plasterboard systems group BPB and has held advisory positions with a number of privately owned manufacturing companies.
Chairman Steve Hannam says he is ‘delighted to welcome Paul to our board’, adding that he has a ‘wealth of international experience to contribute’. Hannam declares Devro ‘looks forward to working with him as we continue to develop our global business in established and emerging markets’.
