Deal-hungry Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI) has appointed two experienced corporate hands, Ken Ford and Dr Ann Simon, as non-executive directors to help deliver on its strategy.
The AIM-traded concern, chaired by Harry Tee CBE and focused on selling cameras and other instruments to the international scientific community, has drafted in Ford, the former boss of investment bank Teather & Greenwood, in order to leverage his 36 years plus of City experience and strong understanding of corporate transactions.
Ford, an amiable, well-connected Square Mile face and current director of AIM-listed BrainJuicer (see Company Watch) and Highams Systems, boasts an impressive CV, having been chairman of the UK Society of Investment Analysts in the mid-1980s and also acted as chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance.
Meanwhile, ex-Cazenove corporate finance adviser Simon ‘brings with her a demonstrable track record’, having worked in finance roles across the healthcare and technology sectors since 1985. Currently the finance director of Sphere Medical Holding, Simon is well versed in IPOs on London’s Full List and on AIM and played a key part in acquisitions and trade sales and fundraisings in both the public and private market arenas.
SDI shares, currently 27p, up from their 12.5p 52-week low, value the company at £4.86 million.
