Mike Jones, veteran mining guru at Canaccord Adams, has gone to join investment group Investec. He has left Canadian-owned Canaccord ‘with a good pipeline of projects’ and is to spend some time ‘in the garden’ before taking up his new role at South African-owned Investec.
Over the years, the genially bearded Jones has analysed and helped drum up City support for a range of mining companies, including Cluff Mining, Chaarat Gold, Petropavlovsk and Highland Gold Mining. He should prove a useful addition to the Investec team.
