Benefits of past investment will benefit Vp, suggests Les Copeland
Well-travelled stockbroker Neil Pidgeon has arrived at West End-based Libertas Partners as head of corporate broking. Former military man and mining specialist Pidgeon, who has previously roosted at several houses including VSA, Hoodless Brennan and French group Crédit Lyonnais, has brought with him Robert Bade, an experienced mining analyst and colleague, and promises that ‘an equally experienced oil analyst’ will soon be joining.
The trenchantly spoken and enthusiastic Pidgeon intends to help Libertas create a ‘new small-cap natural resource investment bank and brokerage’, taking in renewables as well. Just now, he says, the team like gold, copper, iron ore and metallurgical coal and are strong buyers of Highland Gold and Anglo Pacific.
However, Pidgeon may soon have some distractions. He is a prime mover in political discussion group Conservative City Circle.
