Pure Entertainment, the on-line gaming venture that intends to distribute computer games directly to the consumer free of charge, has linked up with Electronics Boutique, the computer games and accessories retailer. Alongside the freebies offered by freeloader.com (PE's site scheduled to go live on 1 May), it will recommend games, directing its UK users to Electronics Boutique's e-commerce site. Pure Entertainment will receive a commission from sales alongside revenues from EB's use of advertising. Pure Entertainment has kept punters guessing with its repeated promise that a multitude of deals were in the pipeline. To date, however, this is the first of any significance to emerge.
