Premier Oil has interests in UK onshore and offshore production and extensive gas production interests in Pakistan, Myanmar and Indonesia. The company's interim results showed a pre-tax profit of £12.6m for the six months to 30 June compared to a loss of £8.4m for the same period in 1999. Premier has also reported further good news with its Gajah Baru prospect proving to be the fourth successful well drilled by Premier in the West Natuna area (Indonesia) this year.
