Shares jumped 5% to 2037.5p as the bakery outfit revealed that strong growth continued in the second half at around 6%, despite a sales shortfall in the final week of 1999 arising from the post-Christmas bank holidays. The group added that its takeaway food ranges under both the Greggs and Baker Oven brands had performed well. The directors also disclosed that the group had opened a Bakers Oven store in the Millennium Dome.
