Expocentric has acquired Scandinavian exhibition services company Expoplanet in a deal worth up to £1.14m. The virtual conferencing specialist will hand over an initial £637,500 - £100,000 in cash, the rest in shares - for the business, with up to £500,000 following depending on performance. The acquisition represents Expocentric's first addition to its business and according to chief executive Stephen Moore 'increases the range of products we offer'. The deal affords Expocentric access to technology that speeds customer access to information, not to mention a ready-made link to the Scandinavian conference market.
