Multi-platform games publisher Empire Interactive is planning a range of titles for the mobile gaming market, starting with an adapted version of its existing PC game, Wentworth Golf. The game, which will be launched later this year, is initially being designed for WAP-enabled devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and interactive TV, however future versions are expected to take advantage of 3G technology. Meanwhile, Empire continues to await the launch of Nintendo and Microsoft's next generation consoles, with the majority of titles likely to hit the market either this winter or at the start of 2002. Recently published figures for the year to December revealed a £1.7m loss (£204,000 profit) on sales up £3.3m at £10.5m.
