Digital Animations may have produced a disappointing set of first half figures, last year's £1.2m profit becoming a £331,533 loss on turnover down 62% at £391,690, but chief executive Michael Hambly remains resolutely upbeat. 'Our vision for a future populated with virtual characters remains unchanged and undimmed', he proclaims. Among the group's latest creations is Seonaid, 'the face of electronic Scotland', which has been designed for the Scottish Executive. However, with trading conditions remaining 'difficult', the company currently looks a speculative punt at best.
