Conroy's shares surged again after it announced the discovery of 'a large number of kimberlitic indictor minerals, together with many diamond indicator minerals' at its concessions in the Kuhmo district of east Finland (not far from where European Diamonds has had some success). Chairman professor Richard Conroy calls the sampling results 'exceptional' and says they 'appear to be equal to, or better than, anything reported by others at a comparable stage in the exploration process, and augur well for a future diamond discovery'. This, together with the possibility that the company has found an economic gold deposit straddling the border with Northern Ireland, make the shares a decent speculation at current levels. The Irish company is valued at a tenth of European and has plenty of upside potential. However, it needs cash to develop its prospects. More cautious investors should wait for this to be secured before jumping in.
