London-based online market research group BrainJuicer hopes to boost expansion across the Pond with the appointment of its first vice-president of marketing and business development in its New York office.
Susan Casserly Griffin, who joins from US market research firm Global Market Insite (GMI), has been brought in to ‘build awareness and to help drive the company’s business forward’, particularly with multinational clients. She will principally support North American president Ari Popper in pushing US growth.
Griffin has over 20 years’ experience in the market research industry, though she began her career at the American Stock Exchange. Since then she has worked at research business Aberdeen Group and was most recently a sales director at GMI.
‘The board is excited about the possibilities that are becoming apparent for our worldwide offices, as BrainJuicer establishes itself as a global company with a presence in all of our strategically important markets,’ said CEO John Kearon. He added, ‘This local presence makes a great difference to our clients, whose teams demand local knowledge as well as the innovative approach of a global company.’
Results from the company for 2007 are due to be released on 10 March. In January, Kearon revealed that ‘both revenue and profitability were comfortably ahead of market expectations’. His 45 per cent stake in the company has been considerably devalued in recent months as the shares declined from above 220p to 146p.
