Recruitment consultant ATA has announced its first set of results since joining AIM last June. In 1998 turnover rose by 35% to £6.4m, pre-tax profit by 23% to £1.1m and earnings per share by 16% to 12.12p. In accordance with their stated dividend policy, the directors recommended a final dividend of 3.8p, making a total for the year of 5.8p. The company has three divisions: Recruitment, Consultancy and Training. Of these, Consultancy is the most profitable. The number of consultants employed has increased by 25% over the past year. Another branch in South London is expected to open this year.
