Human resources outfit ATA sprang back to life as it unveiled a 68% rise in pre-tax profits to £320,359 as turnover increased slightly to £3.4m (£3.1m). ATA's success was provoked by more favourable trading conditions, consolidation of its consultant base and a rapid management restructuring programme. Its trading divisions were transferred into separate subsidiary companies each with its own management structure led by its own operations directors. The board is hopeful that its new website, ATA-B2B, will go live in the next few weeks. It is hoped that candidate acquisition costs will be reduced and operating efficiencies improved. Earnings per share raced ahead to 3.31p (2.03p).
