Media and advertising group Adventis has recruited veteran City public relations man Peter Binns to head its new financial arm.

After previously selling his old company Binns & Co to up and coming Parkgreen Communications, Binns is to run Adventis Financial PR, set up this month to handle financial communications and investor relations. Binns & Co has for some time been financial pr adviser to AIM-quoted Adventis Group, whose chief executive officer Charles Philpot comments 'this is a little like the story of Victor Kiam who liked the razor so much he bought the company'.

Binns is taking with him his former Binns & Co colleagues Chris Steele and Tarquin Edwards as directors of Adventis Financial and Annabel Loveluck and Annie Evangeli as account executives. Adventis has paid an undisclosed cash sum to Parkgreen, which is headed by the multi-faceted Simon Robinson.

Shares in Adventis Group, which floated in 2004 with a £3.6 million placing at 28.5p and increased pre-tax profits 34 per cent to £1 million last year, are unchanged today at 41.5p.
