Ofex graduate Arlington is a high-tech investment business headed by Nicholas Barham, the Old Etonian nephew of Australian media mogul Kerry Packer. It launched onto Aim (via an introduction) at 37.5p with the help of Old Mutual as nominated adviser, having been listed on Ofex since June 1997. It currently has a portfolio of five listed investments including 365 Corporation, fellow Ofex investment business Greenchip, Online Travel Corporation, Underwriting & Subscription and XKO. There are also a dozen investments in unlisted companies, as well as a war chest of around £23m on deposit. The reasons for the move up to Aim include improving the marketability of the shares. Barham is personally interested in over half of the Arlington shares in circulation.
