Air charter broker Air Partner has launched 'Business Jets', a service which will provide business jets for British Airways (BA) passengers. Customers will have a private jet entirely at their disposal and the service is to be managed independently from BA by Air Partner. The deal is a marketing alliance; customers booking through 'Business Jets' will benefit from the opportunity to earn BA miles. A profit warning accompanied Air Partner's interim figures to 31 January 2001 as UK trading was affected by a lack of confidence in the world's financial markets. Nevertheless, pre-tax profits were lifted by 38% to £1.25m on sales buoyed by 42% to £46.3m.
