Tipped here in June 2004 at the equivalent of 155p, bingo club chain Top Ten Holdings has been becalmed at not much more than £1 for most of the intervening period. Bid talks with, it is believed Talarius, briefly lifted the shares back to where we started but the termination of those talks has brought them crashing back again. They finished the week at 118p.

It is very tempting to call time on this one, but I remain convinced that the value of the bingo estate and the upside from the new Gaming Act make it worth holding - at least for another six to nine months. Whether Top Ten's or some other management will reap the benefit is another matter. For now, continue to hold.
