Pubs 'n' Bars, which gained an AIM quote last September by reversing into property minnow London Asia Pacific, looks likely to acquire rival pub chain the Real Leisure Group. Pubs 'n' Bars' chief executive Seamus Murphy is also private company Real Leisure's managing director. Real has 31 pubs. This acquisition was part of Pubs 'n' Bars stated strategy, outlined at admission to AIM. The group is also in discussions with another private company about a takeover, but these are less advanced. Pubs 'n' Bars plans to have 100 pubs by the end of its first year on AIM. At present it has just four.
