Created following the reversal of Pubs'n'Bars into Real Leisure and the acquisition of Acorn Pubs and Quality Quest in autumn 1999, Pubs'n'Bars has performed well in its public history so far and like-for-like sales for the two week Christmas and New Year period showed a creditable 6.7% uplift. Full year results are due in mid-April with analysts expecting around £1.4m in pre-tax profits and earnings of around 4.7p per share. Analysts argue the shares look solidly good value, especially with the 47p per share net asset backing that they had at the interim stage.
