Real Leisure, the privately owned company which owns 27 pubs, is to reverse into its rival, Pubs'n'Bars. Gaining a listing on Aim will also bring in £2.25m, which has been earmarked to fund a spate of acquisitions. Pubs'n'Bars has also purchased Acorn Inns, for £1.2m cash and 1.5m shares, and two pubs from Crestcorn for £420,000, half of which will be borrowed. Another £300,000 will be borrowed to fund the £425,000 acquisition of another four pubs. As a result, the estate will be comprised of 51 pubs. In February, the group had only four. For the six months to the end of June, Pubs'n'Bars recorded a tenfold increase in turnover to £336,423.
