Dart Group, the aviation and distribution company, reported excellent results for the year ended 31st March 2000. Pre-tax profit increased to £7.3m (£6.1m) and turnover rose similarly from £105.7m to £131.5m. The increases are attributable to the significant acquisition of Coolchain, a fruit distributor, in November 1999. Funds were also boosted by the disposal of an Airbus A300B4 in January and a placing of 1,622,150 new ordinary shares which raised £2.9m.
