Clipper Ventures, which has diversified from round-the-world yacht races into branded clothing, corporate sailing and inflatable boats, is planning to spin off its latest venture, clippertele.com. clippertele.com, an on-line portal for the sailing community, has grand ambitions to become an internet and telecommunications business. Clipper Ventures will retain 49% of the concern, which hopes to raise £1.5m on admission to Aim, valuing it at a hefty £10m.
