US-focused Nighthawk Energy reports encouraging progress at its 50 per cent-owned Centurion project in Kansas.
The AIM-quoted company says Centurion’s Franklin 13-6 well is now producing the equivalent of 80 barrels of oil a day, prompting Bristol-based Nighthawk to consider installing new equipment to boost production. According to the company, estimated oil in place for conventional reservoirs in the project area vary from 5,000 to 500,000 barrels of oil per well.
Entrepreneurial managing director David Bramhill says four of the seven projects where Nighthawk holds significant interests are now in production. These include Centurion and Jolly Ranch in Colorado.
Floated last year at 25p, Nighthawk shares surged to 114.75p in May before falling heavily thereafter. Recommended by Growth Company Investor at 23.5p last December, they have now reached 37p and could fare better than some sector peers.
